Gyurcsány: DK is the most distant party from Orbán’s world

It would be embarrassing to be loved among certain Fidesz voters, Mr. Ferenc Gyurcsány said. The head of Democratic Coalition (DK) reacted to a survey conducted by the Nézőpont Institute which showed that Mr. Gyurcsány and the head of Jobbik Mr. Vona were the two most unpopular politicians in Hungary.

Interestingly, the survey was published directly after the campaign start of Jobbik and the state of the nation speech of Mr. Gyurcsány. The head of DK also said that LMP cooperated with Fidesz for a long time. He added that standing up against the tyranny is a moral imperative which is not being practiced by LMP consistently. He also said that he couldn't understand MSZP blaming DK for not willing to win in the elections 2018. He said that DK is the party which has always stood up strongly against Fidesz. He added that everyone who is questioning DK's trustworthiness should expect an adequate response. This is why in his state of the nation speech Mr. Gyurcsány sent a warning to MSZP. He also said that criticizing the church doesn't mean he was against religion and he added that every single church should be supplied by equally defined allowances. Mr. Gyurcsány said that there thousands of little Viktor Orbán's in Hungary. He stated that people who were loyal to the government but not loyal to the constitutional law in Hungary will have to leave public administration. All 79 thousand members of the administration and also the members of the public service will be examined. And this is not a threat, this is just an evaluation. To the offer of the socialists candidate for Prime Minister Mr. Gergely Karácsony, to put Mr. Gyurcsány on the third place of their common party list, the head of DK said no because DK already made its agreement with MSZP and they are not willing to change that. DK is holding on to have a separate party list in the elections 2018.
