Gyurcsány: Gergely Karácsony is not capable of ruling the country

The head of Democratic Coalition (DK) Ferenc Gyurcsány said at the DK's national party committee meeting that they are neither supporting a common candidate for Prime Minister (PM) nor a common party list together with the other democratic opposition parties.

He underlined it because lately both the Hungarian socialists (MSZP) and the co-head of Dialogue party Mr. Gergely Karácsony called for a common party list and a common candidate for PM. Mr. Gyurcsány also said that they want to come to an understanding with MSZP on the candidates in all 106 constituencies and then the door could be opened for an even wider opposition agreement. The former PM also added that DK and MSZP could overcome their differences. The head of DK also said that Gergely Karácsony is a popular opposition politician, but he is not capable of ruling Hungary since he couldn't even strengthen his own party from its two-percent standing in the polls.
