A lawmaker, Márta Demeter left the Hungarian Socialist party and its parliamentary group. MP Demeter said she processed the decision for months as she is missing a more characteristic, tougher and quicker-to-react leftist policy.
"While many members are committed to coming into government, there are certain formal and informal circles, which are satisfied with a plain survival strategy." This was Demeter's reasoning for leaving both the Socialist Party and its parliamentary group a few days ago.
