Member of European Parliament (MEP) Edit Herczog, also member of the Hungarian socialist delegation in the EP said that she is satisfied by the fact that the new European pact could lead to the stabilization of the budgets on either European or national level.
She also underlined the importance of support for growth by the sources of the pact. MEP Herczog, member of the financial parliamentary committee also said that the 130 billion euro economy stimulus package, determined at the summit of European heads of states and heads of governments, shows that the member states leave the path of policy characterized by pure austerity. MEP Herczog also said that the bank union, the common supervisory organ of European banks determined at the summit will lead to more unity and integrity inside the European Union.
