Following a slight increase in February, the output of the construction industry decreased by 3 percent in March 2011 (MoM) and contracted by 10.9 percent compared to March 2010 according to both unadjusted indices and the ones adjusted for working days – Hungarian Central Statistical Office (common abbr.: KSH) reported on Monday, May 16. The report noted that the construction industry’s output has been consistently down each month (on a YoY basis) since June 2009. In Q1 of 2011 the industry’s output dropped 7 percent compared to the Q1 of 2010.
